What Is Washington Flyer Taxi Service and How Does It Work – Things You Should Know


Washington flyer taxi service is operated  and contracted by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority and is the only taxi and shuttle service authorized by Dulles International Airport to be able to pick-up and drop-off passengers coming or going from the airport. The transportation is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and three hundred and sixty five days a year. 

If you are flying into Dulles International Airport, you can reserve in advance for pick-up from another Dulles taxi service, but all other taxi services are prohibited by the airport authority from soliciting passengers curb side. You do not have to make advanced arrangements with Washington Flyer.  

If you are coming into Dulles and need taxi service, simply go to door two or door six on the ground floor of the main terminal. There is an attendant there twenty-four hours a day that can assist you.

Washington Flyer offers three different means of transport for their passengers. They offer taxi service to and from Dulles, and you can pay with most major credit cards and airline voucher. They provide clean, safe, wheelchair accessible vehicles with GPS and upon request provide child safety seats, non-smoking vehicles and environmentally safe taxis.  

Shuttles


They also offer the Washington Express Silver Line Bus service to and from Wiehle-Reston East Metro for five dollars per passenger with shuttle service every fifteen to twenty minutes. If getting on at the airport purchase your tickets at door 4 in main terminal and if boarding at the metro you will purchase your ticket at the airport and they offer no cost rides to children under two and three dollars for airport employees. 

Shared Ride 

Washington Flyer also offers shared van rides door to door services for all Dulles passengers. They offer super shuttle and supreme airport shuttle that will deliver you anywhere in the D.C. metro area, Maryland, and Virginia. The shared van tickets can be purchased near doors two and six in the main terminal.
